But when I have a few things to do in the Valley I always make sure to stop at Porto's for pastry and a cortadito, sometimes for a sandwich, and even for a slice of cake. Porto's maintains a vast selection of pastries and drinks, keeps its prices moderate, and offers a clean, modern, and spacious room where you can enjoy your food. I wish there were more Porto's throughout the city! She Said: Food: 8 Service: 7 Decor: 5 Atmosphere: 6 There is not a single thing that I have ever eaten here that I do not like very much. The sandwiches (try the cubano or the steak torta) are exceptional and if you eat at the restaurant come with fried plantains that are truly exceptional. The desserts in the case are all fantastically made and great tasting, and the large cakes for special events are amazing. Even the iced tea, a blend of herbs and fruits, is addictively wonderful. This is the sort of place that makes it difficult to decide what to eat. Not because there is not much good there, but because everything is good there!
